The GreenComp4Hosts Mentoring Program has officially completed its final phase, marking a major milestone in the journey towards sustainable tourism. Over three intensive sessions in January 2026, five dedicated mentees were guided by industry experts to develop their own sustainable business models, deeply rooted in sustainability practices.

Through a blend of in-person workshops and online support, participants enhanced their knowledge in areas such as entrepreneurship, strategic planning, and sustainability. The program provided them with hands-on tools like Business Model Canvases (BMC), One-Pagers, and SWOT Analyses, enabling them to confidently apply the strategies to their businesses.

Key Outcomes:

  • 100% of participants reported increased confidence in implementing sustainability strategies in their projects.
  • 80% plan to integrate more eco-friendly practices into their businesses.
  • Mentors and mentees together have fostered a collaborative environment, enriching the learning process.

The final projects developed during the mentoring program ranged from eco-friendly rural retreats to urban sustainable accommodation, all focused on improving sustainability through energy efficiency, water management, and community engagement.

As the GreenComp4Hosts project comes to an end, these mentees are equipped with the skills and knowledge to continue making a significant impact in the field of sustainable tourism. We are proud of the incredible progress made and look forward to seeing the lasting influence of these projects in the years to come.
