On September 18th and 19th, the city of Cáceres became a hub for sustainability and innovation in tourism during the GreenComp4Hosts Face-to-Face Workshop, held at the Cámara de Comercio de Cáceres.
For two dynamic days, participants immersed themselves in discussions, group work, and interactive sessions dedicated to one common goal — driving the transition toward a greener, more responsible tourism industry.
✨ What We Achieved Together
Throughout the workshop, professionals, trainers, and students explored concrete ways to make sustainability an everyday reality in the hospitality and tourism sectors:
- 🌱 Developed key strategies to reduce environmental impact
- 🌍 Explored approaches to attract responsible and conscious travelers
- 🤝 Shared experiences and best practices among educators and professionals
- 💡 Acquired hands-on tools to integrate sustainability into training and business models

The atmosphere was one of collaboration, curiosity, and genuine commitment to change. The exchange of ideas and enthusiasm shown by all participants reaffirmed that sustainability is not just a trend — it is the foundation of the future of tourism.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to all the professionals, trainers, and institutions who joined us and contributed to this inspiring experience.
This activity was co-funded by the European Union, under the GreenComp4Hosts Project, which aims to foster green skills and sustainable innovation in the hospitality sector.
Let’s keep working together — step by step — for a greener, fairer, and more resilient tourism industry. 🌎💚
